Three studies from this year’s SPIP Sixth Form Research Projects were presented as posters and videos at the Science Projects in Schools Showcase during the 20th Asian Chemical Congress (20ACC), held yesterday at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam. The conference theme was “Responsible Chemical Sciences for World Sustainability.”
Ms. Supanan (Plakang) Wongyuen investigated the antibacterial properties of local Thai herbs, while Ms. Inchalita (Inin) Supab used eggshell models to study the efficacy of sodium fluoride in preventing acid-induced tooth corrosion. Both students were awarded silver medals for their work.
Ms. Nannapas (Jeany) Em-Och explored the current state of bacteriophage therapy for treating infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria and received a gold medal at the event.
We thank the organizers of 20ACC and H.E. Police General Permpoon Chidchob for their inspiring recognition of our students’ achievements.
