Club Description
Members choose books that interest them and reflect on how they respond to the book. Attention will be placed on character, plot and setting. Members will share their experiences with the books and how they relate to their own lives through group discussions.
Members will also create their own pieces of writing in order to express themselves and their feelings. We will use books that the students have chosen as inspiration.
Occasionally, poems and short stories will be chosen for members to enjoy together. These will be discussed in groups and members will get a chance to share their opinions.
This club is ideally suited to those who value reading for pleasure or who feel they could get more enjoyment from reading.
