There are opportunities for all students in years 8 & 9 to participate in extracurricular activities, including visits, residential trips, overseas excursions, inter-school sports, performances, and community service.
This broad programme provides the skills and knowledge necessary to embark on IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) courses at Key Stage 4.

Satit Prasarnmit International Programme: curriculum for years 10 and 11

Key Stage 4 (For students aged 14 to 16 years) The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
At the end of Key Stage 3 students make choices regarding the subjects they want to study at Key Stage 4. These subjects form a two year course ending with IGCSE examinations in May of Year 11. SPIP students study 7 IGCSE subjects.

At IGCSE , all students study the core subjects of English, Thai (native Thai speaking students), mathematics and a science course. They can select further subjects from a list of options that include; Mandarin Chinese, art & design, business studies, drama, environmental management, history, information & communication technology, music, , psychology, physical education and travel & tourism.

The option process: Towards the end of Year 9 students are asked to indicate the option subjects they would like to study at Key Stage 4. This information is then used to create 4 subject groups for timetable purposes, and an option form for students to make their final choices. The process is designed to increase student/parent satisfaction; although it may not always be possible to satisfy everyone.

Physical education (not as an IGCSE subject) is also compulsory for students in this age group.
There are opportunities for all students in years 10 &11 to participate in extracurricular activities, including visits, residential trips, overseas excursions, inter-school sports, performances, and community service.

Satit Prasarnmit International Programme for Years 12 and 13
Key Stage 5 (for students aged 16 to 18 years) A Level
Many students in the UK and at International Schools studying in Years 12 and 13 follow GCE (General Certificate of Education) A-level courses.

From 2013 students will have options to stay enrolled on the Satit Prasarnmit International Programme initially to follow AS courses in Year 12.

Students may choose to study up to four subjects at AS-level (Year12) and then focus on three of those subjects in Year 13 at A2-level. Students may also opt to take further IGCSE courses and study for IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exams. Initially mathematics, sciences and business studies are likely to be available at AS level.

Students intending to study AS courses in Year 12 will need to gain at least 5 IGCSEs at grade A*- C in Year 11 and these must include English and Maths. Ideally they would have gained at least an IGCSE grade B in subjects they propose to study at A level.

All students in Years 12 & 13 will have opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, including visits & excursions, inter-school sports, performances, and community service.
